Schezwan Sauce

Delicious homemade sauce which can be stored for a couple of months in the refrigerator and can be used to cook up a quick delicious Indian Chinese dish .

Ingredients  

  1. 2 celery sticks 9” long
  2. 12-15 garlic cloves
  3. 1/2 cup ginger cut into small pieces
  4. Grind the above coarsely in a blender
  5. Take a wok heat it
  6. Stir in 5 tablespoons of oil
  7. When hot add the blended mixture
  8. Add to it 2 tablespoons of chilli garlic sauce( available in stores in asian aisle )
  9. 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
  10. 3 tablespoons of sugar
  11. 2 tablespoons of paprika
  12. 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  13. 11/2 tablespoons of vinegar
  14. 1 teaspoon salt

Method 

  • Fry the mixture for 8 minutes on medium low heat till you see the oil separate 
  • Cool it and you can store it in a jar in your fridge for a couple of months
