Ingredients
- 3 cups cut tendli , cut lengthwise into four and can be cut in the middle to make 8 pieces if you like .
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon chopped green chili
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 Teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 6-7 kadi patta ( curry leaves)
- 6 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- Cilantro to garnish
Method
- Take a pot put 2 tablespoons of oil
- When hot add the kadi patta along with garlic,cumin seeds and chili
- Sauté for half a minute and add the onions Sauté on medium heat until onions are transparent
- Then add the tendli along with all the spices, salt and tomato sauce and mix well
- Add 3/4 cup of water and cook between low and medium heat till vegetable is cooked and there is no water
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with Roti and salad
