Fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that has been stir fried in a wok or a frying pan and usually mixed with other ingredients as eggs, diced vegetables, chicken beef or shrimp.
Left over rice is usually preferred in preparing fried rice. Since vegetarian fried rice is cheap and easy to make in a short period of time it is favored by students living alone who cannot afford an expensive meal.
Fried rice is usually served with a cup of warm of soup or to compliment a dish of noodles or an entrée.
